Sid taught tennis and was a solid presence as a counselor.  Mornings at the tennis court began by running laps around the court to the sound of a portable radio playing gospel music from a local radio station.

After camp he went to Emory and Henry College in Emory, VA, and married his wife, Charlotte.  For 22 years he was active in Christian education and music for various churches in Tennessee.

They began a motor coach touring business with tours to Canada, Mexico and the Pacific North West, targeting senior adults.  The tours ranged from 2 to 3 days up to 23 days, mostly originating from Columbia, TN.  In 1992, through contacts they developed with La Quinta Inns, they agreed to couple manage a property in New Orleans and later in Greenville, SC.

In 2004 they became active with their mission ministry, God’s Footprint to Nicaragua.  It’s a preschool feeding program with 105 preschool students and a staff of 7.  www.godsfootprints.org is located at 1025 Veteran’s Memorial Hwy, Mableton, GA 30126
